Still At Risk!

We’ve had a huge amount of support from our local community and are extremely grateful to all of our volunteers and swimmers but there’s still some way to go before we’ll have saved Moseley Road Baths.

On Friday 9th November Historic England launched their register of Heritage at Risk for 2018 and Moseley Road Baths is listed again with its condition described as poor and and given priority A as it is considered to be at immediate risk of further deterioration.

This may sound gloomy but the future is looking promising!  Historic England, National Trust, World Monuments Fund, Moseley Road Baths CIO, Friends of MRB and Birmingham City Council are all members of a coalition looking to find a way to regenerate this beautiful Edwardian pool and keep it open for swimming for future generations.  This coalition is already reaping rewards with repair of the gala pool roof due to commence next year!
